The juvenile from HMP Feltham A, which holds children aged between 15 and 18 who are on remand or have been convicted, died in hospital on Monday.

The Ukrainian-born jewellery artist Aleksandr Dotsenko, who was serving a three-year prison sentence in Russia for allegedly placing anti-war slogans in a supermarket in the Leningrad region, died on 19 February of a heart attack, according to media reports. Dotsenko, who was 65 when he died, was convicted of "public calls for terrorist activities" alongside his wife, the artist Anastasia Dyudyaeva, in July 2024. Dotsenko was sentenced to three years in prison, while Dyudyaeva is serving three-and-a-half years.

The demonstration gathered at the shelter in the northeast of the capital where the man, El Hacen Diarra, 35, had been living and in front of which he was violently arrested by police on the night of January 14th. Video filmed by neighbours, shared on social media, showed a policeman punching what appears to be a man on the ground as another officer stands by and watches.

"She is dead because of them. A 72-year-old grandma, never been in trouble with the law. For her to die in the back of the police car? There are a lot of questions, and they are not answering anything," says Riche Ramirez, Yolanda's eldest son. Riche said the holidays have been tough for the family, since this is the first time without her.

Chaofeng Ye, a Queens resident, was arrested in Pennsylvania back in January for alleged credit card fraud. Because he was a Chinese national, he was transferred into ICE custody and locked up in a Keystone State detention center. On Aug. 5, Ye was found hanging inside a shower at the Mohannon Valley Detention Center.

The disciplinary panel ultimately found the officers had acted properly. Mr Tekeste had concealed his actions and the officers' risk assessment and level of observation were appropriate based on the information they had.

Johnny Noviello, a Canadian man, died Monday at the Federal Detention Center in Miami while in immigration custody. The cause of death is under investigation.
