Hegseth battled with Democrats - and some Republicans - during a nearly six-hour House Armed Services Committee hearing, facing sharp questioning over the war's costs in dollars, lives and the diminishing stockpiles of critical weapons.
Retired Army Special Forces officer Mike Nelson criticized Hegseth's rhetoric, stating, 'That's a necessary end to achieve goals through military force - you have to kill people to achieve them. That's not the end. It's a weird obsession with death for the sake of it.'
That's America's secretary of defense. To use a military term, it's conduct unbecoming. He looks rattled. He obviously looks thin-skinned. He's extremely aggressive and volatile.
