With under six months left on his current deal at Old Trafford, Manchester United confirmed on Thursday that Brazilian ace Casemiro will be leaving the club at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. Although the former Real Madrid superstar might have been a key figure in the heart of United's midfield this season, Casemiro will be ending his four-year spell in the red half of Manchester.
The former United player has enjoyed a career-best spell in Serie A since making his £25 million move last year, most notably winning the MVP award last season as his side lifted the Scudetto. The 28-year-old also scored a stunning overhead kick against Denmark earlier this week to help Scotland qualify for their first World Cup finals since 1998. As such, the player is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs,
"I don't know. I guess so but not both in the same position obviously. Rather than finding a position for the best players to have them on the field, it is maybe better to put everyone in their best position and have competition. "At the moment the competition is between the two of them. They are friends so it is a friendly competition. They don't have to be enemies and hate each other. They are respectful and they fight for the same position. "Can they play together? Yes, but in a different structure and now is not the moment to change the structure."
Chelsea are reportedly interested in the Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson. The 23-year-old has been exceptional for Nottingham Forest since joining the club, and he is one of the most promising young players in the league right now. Chelsea are not the only club keen on him, and they will face competition from Manchester City. According to Fichajes, Chelsea have expressed interest in signing the England International midfielder, whereas Manchester City are already plotting a 75 million move for him. Manchester United are interested in Anderson as well.
