Around 8:45 p.m. on Monday, British Airways Flight 274 lost a tire just as it was taking off from Harry Reid International Airport, FAA officials told SFGATE. The Airbus landed safely in London, and "the tire was retrieved from the LAS airfield," airport officials confirmed to SFGATE via email. "There were no reported injuries or damage to airport property." On Thursday, the same aircraft is slated to travel from London's Heathrow Airport to Sao Paulo, Brazil, Flight24 data shows.

HOUSTON, Texas -- Two jets taking off from Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport narrowly avoided collision on Dec. 18, according to ABC News. According to air traffic control recordings obtained by ABC News, the flights were a Volaris Airlines flight to El Salvador and a United Express flight to Jackson, Miss. Flight records show the Volaris jet made an unauthorized right turn into the path of the United Express flight for an unknown reason.

A United Airlines flight returned safely to Dulles International Airport in Virginia on Saturday after the plane experienced an engine failure during its departure, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement. The flight was bound for Tokyo, Japan, when the engine on the Boeing 777-200ER failed shortly after takeoff, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said on X. A piece of the engine cover separated and caught fire, sparking a brushfire on the ground, he said.

Endeavor Air flight 5155 was taxiing for departure from LaGuardia to Roanoke, VA, with 28 passengers and four crew aboard, as Endeavor Air flight 5047 was taxiing to its arrival gate from Charlotte, NC, with 57 customers, two pilots, and two flight attendants on board, when the wing of the departing aircraft made contact with the fuselage of the arriving aircraft.

ROANOKE, Va. -- No injuries were reported after a commercial regional jet overshot the designated touch down zone at a Virginia airport amid heavy rain Wednesday night, but was stopped in a safety area at the end of the runway, officials said. Delays continue at the airport Thursday morning. CommuteAir Flight 4339 "landed long" as it arrived at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport around 10 p.m., according to a Federal Aviation Administration statement.

Massport released video Wednesday of a JetBlue plane that left the runway at Logan Airport in June. On June 12, JetBlue flight 312 rolled into the grass off of runway 33-L during landing, Massport said in a statement. Following the incident, the runway was closed while an assessment of the plane was conducted, Massport said.
