"We'll host local DJs who all have different styles, but also showcasing newer artists, whether that's someone from Berklee (College of Music) or someone that just moved to Boston, that's our goal to kind of get a little bit of everything, and long term, you can expect to probably see some surprises too," says general manager Allison Finney.
We keep it moving, hustling with the changes, thinking outside the margins. Saying farewell to venues calling it quits and acknowledging local labels and artists on the rise.
"What's so appealing about Bay Ridge and Fifth Avenue especially is its diversity. It's a small town in a big city. Everyone knows each other, and that's why Bay Ridge is so special," BID Executive Director Elizabeth Lovejoy told the Eagle at last year's milestone festival.
This event shines a spotlight on the Brooklyn Made Store's mission to elevate local artists and entrepreneurs, especially makers of color, by connecting them to new audiences.
