Although Hepburn has only appeared in two NBA games for the franchise, he's been a mainstay for the 905 this season. In 18 games (all starts), he's averaged 12.4 points, 8.6 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals. His strong play on both ends of the floor - third in the G League for assists and steals per game - helped the Raptors 905 get off to a historic 19-0 start as part of earning the No. 1 seed in the Tip-off Tournament
"He looks like he's doing well from that," coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday. Oliver, who has appeared in only three games this season, has been on injured reserve since Oct. 28 and has had surgery for a torn left bicep. He also dealt with an ankle injury early in the season and has three sacks and a forced fumble. "It probably adds a little bit of cloudiness to his return window," McDermott said.
Hartwig, 28 this month, has a limited big league track record. He tossed 42 innings for the Mets over the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He allowed 24 earned runs, giving him a 5.14 ERA. He struck out 18% of batters faced and issued walks at a 10.1% rate, both subpar figures, but induced grounders on 46.5% of balls in play. He averaged in the mid-90s with his four-seamer and sinker while also mixing in a cutter, slider and changeup.
