Mission Science Workshop is a non-profit community science center in San Francisco that offers hands-on science activities for youth and families, encouraging exploration and learning.

Almond emphasized her mission to create a safety net for marginalized mothers, making assistance accessible without stigma, thus empowering single moms to thrive.

"Using the very unique intersection of skills of being a human rights lawyer, working in war zones, being an ultrarunner, and existing as someone who doesn't believe in the word impossible, she's provided opportunities for countless women in six countries."

Each home built by Donais has heat, electricity and running water, plus safety features including a smoke detector and fire extinguisher. They can be attached to the back of a bicycle and transported to other locations.
