The hunger strike began May 12 with 15 students, faculty and staff pledging to stop eating until the university meets a list of demands, including calling for Stanford to divest from companies linked to Israel's war in Gaza.
Footage of the encounter, captured by a surveillance camera, was viewed by millions of people, and generated outrage that Ms. Ozturk, a Turkish citizen on a student visa, had been picked up off the street even though there were no charges against her.
"We have been compiling a list of individuals we believe have participated in pro-Palestinian protests. We aim to ensure they face repercussions for their actions."
