Artists like Billy Bragg and Bruce Springsteen have been releasing protest songs against ICE this week, and now NOFX joins them with "Minnesota Nazis." This is an updated version of their song "Huntington Beach Nazis," which was previously available via the 7″ Of The Month club and on their NOFXxX box set. It has some different lyrics than the original, including these lines that directly touch on Renee Good's murder by an ICE agent: "If those Minnesota nazis / Are so sure they're part of a master race / Why do they cover their white faces when they're shooting / Friendly white, unarmed lesbians in the face." My Morning Jacket have released a new album, Peacelands, which is out now via their Bandcamp. Frontman Jim James describes it as "an album of mostly unreleased, acoustic peaceful protest songs - some covers and some of my own" and includes songs by Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Buck Owens and more. Proceeds will benefit " ACLU fighting for our safety and freedoms here at home, as well as Doctors Without Borders and International Rescue - organizations working hard to help heal the horrors of war and terror around the globe... working around the clock to help move us all towards 'Peacelands.'"

ICE killed another American citizen on Saturday, so here's a list of five anti-ICE songs you can listen to right now. As music journalists we often struggle with how to respond to tragedies like this one. I don't have unreleased facts to share, or some vast network of activists to call upon. What I do have is my anger, alongside decades of practice working through difficult emotions with music.
