The historic row of houses at Oberamteistrae 2832, along with the surviving basement of the 'Stone House', are among the oldest buildings in Reutlingen, dating back to the 13th century.

The most recent final resting place for 91 members of the family is Berlin Cathedral's crypt, which opens to the public this weekend after a €29m, six-year renovation. Sonja Tubbesing, the cathedral official responsible, describes it as the church's biggest building project since its post-war reconstruction.

The layout and overall appearance of the buildings including the main houses, garages, and boundary walls take inspiration from a nearby historic farmstead. With very simple means, a strong sense of space and atmosphere was created.

More than three-quarters of Germans reject the idea of buying an electric car from the US manufacturer Tesla, according to a recent survey by the German Economic Institute (IW). Some 60% of respondents said buying a Tesla was "completely out of the question," while another 16% said they would "probably not" purchase a car from US tech billionaire Elon Musk's company, which saw sales fall by 13% worldwide in the first quarter of 2025, by 45% in Europe, and by 62% in Germany.
