Swansea's owners have explained the influx of celebrity investors by saying it is part of their vision to raise the club's profile so they can generate more revenue, allowing them to invest more in the squad while staying within profit and sustainability rules.

Swansea City have signed Nottingham Forest midfielder Marko Stamenic for an undisclosed fee which is believed to be more than 2m. The New Zealand international, 23, has agreed a four-year deal with the option of a further 12 months at the Championship club having spent last season on loan at Greek side Olympiacos. Stamenic leaves Forest without making a competitive appearance for the Premier League club.
