Swans' Idah has point to prove after Celtic exit
"So to bring in somebody of his calibre, his physicality, his athleticism, his mentality to come here - we were delighted with that. "He's a player that I know a lot about, my coaching staff know a lot about, so when the opportunity came to have conversations it was a no-brainer really and credit to the ownership that fully backed that.""
""I think that was one of the things that he said - he wants to prove it,""
""That's good. We don't want people that want to talk about doing stuff, we want people that are going to do it.""
Adam Idah completed a move from Celtic to Swansea City for an initial £6m, becoming Swansea's most expensive signing outside the Premier League. Idah scored 20 goals for Celtic last season but did not always hold a regular starting spot. Swansea targeted a centre-forward all summer and considered multiple options before signing Idah on deadline day. Head coach Alan Sheehan praised Idah's calibre, physicality, athleticism and mentality, and said ownership fully backed the transfer. Idah trained with Swansea after international duty and could make his debut against Hull City on Saturday.
