Chunky Grill & Pizza has applied for a premises license variation to extend late-night operations until 3am, aiming to cater to a growing demand for late-night food options.

A planning application was submitted by Avinash Tiwari earlier this month only weeks after similar initial plans were withdrawn. According to an odour impact assessment document, the property at 121 Mawney Road "wishes to operate as an Asian takeaway (Indian food etc)". Residents of Mawney Road and Oak Street have again rallied together, starting a petition and expressing their worries as they did when the initial plans were submitted.

Despite the appeal to convert Magnum Wine Store into a takeaway, concerns over noise, health, and proximity to schools led to its dismissal.
