"This defendant allegedly engaged in a horrific spree of violence, brutally stabbing three innocent and vulnerable people as they slept," Gonzalez said. "We have no tolerance for this kind of random violence in Brooklyn and will now seek to bring the defendant to justice."
The incidents occurred first at the SUS Shelter, where Kentish allegedly stabbed a 70-year-old man 15 times and another 38-year-old victim twice in the face and once in the elbow. He then reportedly proceeded to the New Lots Avenue subway station, where he is said to have stabbed a 32-year-old man in the neck while the victim was sleeping on a subway car.
