
"A 19-year-old motorcyclist who died Friday evening collided with a pickup truck leaving a driveway, according to San Jose police. The collision was reported at 5:48 p.m. in the 100 block of North 24th Street near San Jose High School, police said. An initial investigation has found that a man riding a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling north at a high rate of speed when it hit a 2016 Toyota pickup truck whose driver was backing out of a driveway onto the roadway."
"Police said the rider died at the scene, and that he was not wearing a helmet. His name has not been publicly released pending his formal identification and notification of his next of kin by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office. The man driving the pickup was not injured and stopped at the scene, police said. There is no indication that he was arrested or cited."
