The simple hack, which recently resurfaced online, involves opening the FaceTime app and tapping the 'create link' option on the top left part of a user's screen.
Guests don't have access to all the FaceTime features that iPhone users are privy to, such as screen sharing or starting a call, but they can flip or turn off their cameras and mute themselves.
