NHTSA opens investigation into Ford BlueCruise following accidents
Briefly

The NHTSA opened a preliminary probe into Ford's BlueCruise driver-assist software following accidents with fatalities during nighttime conditions in Mustang Mach-E vehicles.
BlueCruise, a Level 2 automated system, requires driver monitoring and is only usable on pre-approved roadways, with Ford claiming coverage of around 97% of controlled-access highways in North America.
An investigation is ongoing to determine if a recall request will be sent to Ford, with the NHTSA being able to decide to move forward with the probe or close it.
