"Feel Like That" was born out of a 1996 jam session between Bradley, Sublime's bassist, and drummer at Willie Nelson's studio, now revived with samples by Stick Figure.
Sublime described the song's revival as fitting for their comeback single, merging old recordings with Jakob's vocals for a summer vibe.
