Incredible footage shows the Dutch biologist swimming next to the enormous anaconda. The Northern Green Anaconda is 26ft long, 440lbs, and is now identified as a distinct species, Eunectes akayima.
'Although they look almost identical at first glance, the genetic difference between the two is 5.5% and that is huge. Over a fifth of the Amazon has already disappeared, which is alarming.'
