Women, in case you hadn't noticed, account for about half the eight billion people on this planet. Yet women's health is chronically underfunded, under-researched and undervalued.
I recently heard a statistic that is as enraging as it is baffling: of the $198bn spent on research globally every year, excluding cancer, just 1pc of this will be spent on women's health. Including cancer? The figure is 4pc.
