With her latest album, "Adagio," released under the renowned Sub Pop label, Σtella offers a lush auditory experience that wraps you in warmth, resonating like a cherished memory. Her music, rich with nylon-string guitars, ethereal percussion, and psychedelic elements, is a 27-minute reflection on the philosophical themes of love, longing, and the passage of time. Experience her unique blend of English and Greek lyrics, including the mesmerising "Omorfo Mou" and a revered cover of the 1969 Greek New Wave classic "Ta Vimata."
Of the many nightlife options on the Las Vegas Strip, The Pinky Ring is unique. It's not a concert venue per se, but once you're inside, it's impossible not to gravitate toward the stage, which floats at the edge of a cozy, rotunda-like room. A six-piece band supplies a steady stream of funk and R&B hits from the 1980s and '90s, and the warm, pulsating sound has the exhilarating effect of a tabernacle choir.

Brooklyn electro-outfit Fcukers was on stage and the sold-out room was downright sweaty. For all the gripes about how SF crowds don't dance anymore (they're not entirely wrong), this was hardly the case this evening. The fog machine was turned up to 11, there was a palpable industry buzz lurking throughout the 400 capacity space and the energy in the room was downright intoxicating; I wanted to live in that concert moment forever.

The San Jose Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon, which has its 20th running this weekend, is like a progressive music festival with more than a dozen bands on pop-up stages around town. The only catch is you have to run 13.1 miles to hear them all. But nearly 5,000 people did just that last year - along with another 3,700 who participated in the accompanying 5K and 10K runs - so there must be something about the music that gets legs pumping.
Chelsea's King's Road is one of London's most iconic streets. Even if you rarely venture west, chances are you've heard the name. Once a private route for royalty between Whitehall and Hampton Court Palace, the street found new fame in the swinging sixties as the beating heart of fashion and youth culture, and in the '70s Vivienne Westwood's own legendary boutique helped establish punk style.
