As the clock ticks by, Santiago Gimenez remains without a league goal for the season, and eventually he might run out of time. As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) report this morning, a quarter of the season has practically gone by and Gimenez hasn't scored a single goal in Serie A. He's spent 627 minutes on the pitch, over ten hours of play, but hasn't scored a single goal: an eternity for striker.
Santiago Gimenez is without a goal in over 500 minutes of league action, and Massimiliano Allegri's patience seems to have expired. As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) write this morning, after eight league games, Gimenez is still without a goal. When he moved to Italy from Feyenoord, he left as a man who had scored 65 goals in the Netherlands, with the promise of being the striker for the future.
It's a difficult time for Santiago Gimenez at the moment, and not just because of the fact that he is struggling to score. As Corriere della Sera (via AllMilan) report this morning, Massimiliano Allegri couldn't contain his frustration with Gimenez during the draw with Pisa. The Rossoneri coach shouted at the striker: "Santiii, wake up... are you sleeping?" Allegri's comments come after a another strange performance from Gimenez, who appeared disoriented and at times isolated.
