A shooting near Howard University has left at least four people shot, police in Washington DC said. The shooting happened as thousands descended on the campus for homecoming celebrations. Police responded to shots being fired at 8.23pm on the 600 block of Howard Place, near the university's Yard and the School of Architecture building. Police say the shooting left one person in critical condition and one person in serious condition.

Boston police received a report of a person being shot near 1855 Washington St. around 1:07 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she later died, police say.

A teenage boy is in a critical condition after he was shot in north London. The Metropolitan Police was called to High Road, in Arnos Grove, at 17:40 BST on Thursday to reports of a shooting. A 17-year-old was treated at the scene for serious injuries and taken to hospital.

QUEENS, NY - Police are searching for a suspect who shot a 15-year-old boy on a Queens street Tuesday afternoon. The incident happened near the intersection of Springfield Boulevard and Union Turnpike around 2:50 p.m., police said. Officers found the boy with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Cohen Children's Medical Center in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting, police said.

San Diego police were looking for a gunman in Chollas View early Tuesday afternoon after he shot a teen in the leg and fled on a scooter. The shooting, which was reported around 12:30 p.m., occurred on 47th Street near Hilltop Drive, said police Lt. Travis Easter.
