According to the FBI's Crime Data Explorer (CDE), in 2023 there were 1,201,857 violent crimes committed in the United States. Violent crimes include homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. 945,601 of those crimes were committed by people in the age group of 20-29. The largest demographic of offenders based on race, sex, and ethnicity are white. "Most crimes against foreigners are crimes of opportunity. This includes pickpocketing, purse snatchings, and petty thefts," the State Department wrote in its advisory. Transit police are investigating a stabbing on board a Bronx subway train Tuesday night that left a man seriously injured. Two people have been taken to hospital following an arson attack in Armagh city, police said. The incident happened at an establishment in the Irish Street area of the city at around 8.55pm on Monday.
