Chicago White Sox LF Andrew Benintendi making strides while recovering from left calf strain
Briefly

Outfielder Andrew Benintendi is recovering from a left calf strain and engaged in light drills with the Chicago White Sox. Benintendi expressed optimism about his recovery, stating he felt better than anticipated. He was placed on the injured list retroactively and misses games in Cincinnati, a city significant to him. This is his second injury stint this season, impacting his performance and ability to maintain rhythm in hitting. His situation led to teammates filling in for him while he works on his rehabilitation.
I think it was just kind of a buildup a little bit from a few days prior, and then, yeah, there was almost a stutter-step going to third base where I started to feel it a lot more.
But, it is what it is. I know they all wish I was out there, which I do too.
It sucks. Hitting in general, you're getting into a rhythm and you've got to find that rhythm and these little nagging things have kind of cut me from playing.
Hopefully, it won't be long.
