A24's upcoming film 'Tony', centered on Anthony Bourdain, will begin filming in Provincetown, Massachusetts, from May through July. The film stars Dominic Sessa as a young Bourdain, along with Antonio Banderas. In an open casting call, Atomic Honey is recruiting real kitchen staff to portray restaurant employees in hopes of capturing genuine culinary dynamics. Bourdain had significant ties to Provincetown, which he described as a wonderland of acceptance and creativity, making it the perfect backdrop for his story set in 1976, just before culinary school.
The film will also star Antonio Banderas in an unspecified role, and will be directed by Matt Johnson, known for 'Blackberry'.
