Many Bosses Have the Traits of a Great Leader. Does Yours?
Briefly

Recent surveys reveal that a significant number of workers in both the U.S. and UK harbor negative feelings towards their bosses, with many contemplating or actually quitting their jobs. A study assessing personality traits across a broad range of occupations shows that current bosses may lack the characteristics of respected historical leaders. This study involved analyzing nearly 70,000 adults to compare personality profiles of modern bosses with those of well-known historical figures, aiming to understand the disconnect in leadership qualities.
A Society for Human Resource Management survey concluded that "84 percent of U.S. workers say poorly trained managers create a lot of unnecessary work and stress".
About two thirds of UK workers have thought of quitting because of their bosses - or have actually quit.
A recent study of nearly 70,000 adults mapped the typical personality traits of over 250 common occupations.
If today's bosses psychologically don't have what it takes to be well-respected in their roles, their personality traits should not resemble those of great historical leaders.
