The woman survived the gunfire after going on her own to a hospital and being treated for her injuries, according to a statement from Antioch police Lt. Michael Mellone. He said officers responded after a gunfire detection system sent out alerts about 8:40 p.m. of multiple gunshots in the 2300 block of Buchanan Road."
"Hospital personnel told police that a 42-year-old woman later showed up with gunshot injuries. Mellone said police identified the suspect after canvassing the area, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. San Rafael police officers located the man and detained him at an undisclosed time. Antioch police arrested him on suspicion of attempted murder and took him to the Martinez Detention Facility, Mellone said."
