A Nordic Japanese fine dining restaurant named Atsumeru is set to open in West Town in September. The tasting menu, crafted by chef Devin Denzer, will blend Nordic techniques with Japanese ingredients and is inspired by Denzer's experience working under a former Noma chef. The 10 to 12 course experience will include a sturgeon dish and cost $165 per person. The former Temporis space has been fully renovated after a fire, with new systems installed. A new lounge area has also been created for pre-meal drinks.
The menu at Atsumeru will showcase Nordic techniques with Japanese ingredients, inspired by chef Devin Denzer's experience under a former Noma chef and Inua in Tokyo.
Diners can expect a tasting experience that spans 10 to 12 courses, featuring a rich sturgeon course paired with crispy puffed rice and tom kha broth for $165 per person.
The renovation of Atsumeru involved a complete rebuild after a fire damaged the former Temporis space, with new HVAC and plumbing systems integrated.
The dining experience will begin in a newly created basement lounge, allowing guests to enjoy opening bites before proceeding to the main dining area.
