Paige Lorenze studied design at the New School and pursued entrepreneurship while building a social-media audience. She worked for small NYC clothing brands and used content creation to grow followers. She monetized her following by producing a small run of "Dairy Girl Summer" hats which sold out, then expanded into dairy-themed hats, T-shirts, and hoodies and launched Dairy Boy in August 2022. She funded the launch without investors or a business plan. Lorenze moved to Connecticut and aligned her brand aesthetic with rural New England activities, benefiting from TikTok trends and authenticity to drive rapid product sell-through.
