The Los Angeles Dodgers faced a rocky start against the Pirates with an early 2-0 deficit following solo homers by McCutchen and Valdez. However, after losing pitcher Tyler Glasnow to a shoulder injury before the 2nd inning, the Dodgers' offense rallied back impressively. They scored four runs in the second inning led by Freeman and Edman, taking control of the game. Additional scoring through Hernandez and Pages boosted their lead to a comfortable 9-2 victory, backed by a total of 12 hits and solid performances from key players.
The game didn't start well for him, as Andrew McCutchen and Enmanuel Valdez hit solo homers to put the Pirates up 2-0.
Regardless, the offense continued to back the pitching staff... they got a run on a Mookie Betts sacrifice fly to make it 5-2.
The Dodgers really could've used a solid start to the homestand, and they got a tough start against Paul Skenes, but... they continued to hit to take the next two games.
After cramping up last time out, the Dodgers were convinced Tyler Glasnow wouldn't have the same problem today. They were technically correct, though not in the way they wanted.
