Palace in talks to sell shares to NY Jets owner
Briefly

John Textor, a shareholder in Crystal Palace, has received an offer from Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets, to purchase his stake in the club. This transaction could potentially enable Crystal Palace to compete in the Europa League next season, as current regulations inhibit dual ownership in the same competition. Palace executives have engaged with Uefa to argue that Textor does not hold decisive control. A resolution is expected by the end of the month concerning their eligibility for the tournament.
Uefa rules forbid individuals from having control of more than one club in the same competition to avoid conflicts of interest. Crystal Palace have tried to convince Uefa that they should be allowed to participate in the competition, with a decision expected to come towards the end of the month.
If Textor does sell his Eagle Football shares, then that could clear the path for Palace to participate in the Europa League next season.
