Islanders Gameday: In my mind, we're going to (lose in) Carolina
Briefly

The Islanders experienced a disappointing loss against the Lightning, despite a comeback effort that fell short. They have ten games remaining in the season as they head to Raleigh for a back-to-back match. With recent NHL results, the playoff race is heating up, making it a tight competition for wild card spots among Montreal, Columbus, and the Rangers, each team seeking to capitalize on every opportunity left in the season.
The Isles made a surprising comeback against the backup goalie, but it was too little and all that. "Sometimes the bounces just don't go your way," says the guy who scored and is just glad to be here.
With results last night, idle Montreal fell back up into the wild card spot thanks to Columbus losing in regulation to the Senators, but in the late game the Rangers jumped both of them to claim that spot with a win in San Jose.
