After Ours is Portland's first chef-driven vinyl bar, opening on August 7. Chef Richard Le, Kim Dam, and Mikey Nguyen designed the space for relaxation and music appreciation. The menu includes all-day selections from Le's Matta food cart and inventive drinks by Ketsuda Chaison. Signature dishes feature salt and pepper squid, garlic noodles, and brunch items inspired by California breakfast styles. The ambiance promotes a communal dining experience reminiscent of traditional gatherings, aiming to recreate a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
"The intention was to create a space where they and other chillers in their 30s could hang out, listen to music, and eat."
"The deep love of music is apparent - Madlib's Lord Quas posts up in all his yellow glory across the wall of records from Lauryn Hill's Unplugged singing visage."
"The menu alone will be the main draw for many. There's an all-day menu with hits from Le's food cart Matta, plus a dinner menu to pair with inventive drinks."
"We want to have that same kind of energy. We won't have people sit on the floor. But the menu is built around bringing people together."
