UK tax collector looks for new CRM system with 1B on table
Briefly

The UK's HMRC is planning to appoint a vendor for a new CRM system to manage tax affairs. A preliminary market notice outlines the need for a core SaaS CRM platform that includes customer record management, fraud detection, and secure digital exchanges. This initiative aims to integrate with future services, improving taxpayer interactions. The planned budget ranges up to £1 billion over 15 years for this system and associated services, with a vendor selection process beginning in June 2024 following a series of reports criticizing the existing systems.
The package would include identity, verification, access, and fraud software as a service, secure digital exchange including document storage, and architecture and product technical support.
HMRC has now launched the preliminary market engagement for the CCaaS, earmarking a value of up to £500 million ($670 million) for the contract.
