Virginia has 663 operational data centers and 595 more under construction or planned. Texas has 405 existing data centers and 442 planned or being built. Georgia currently has 162 data centers with plans for 285 more, a potential 176% increase, and Pennsylvania has 98 with 184 more, a potential 188% increase. Approximately $560 billion in AI-related venture investment flowed into all 50 states across nearly 27,000 deals from 2019 through August 2025. Data centers are projected to generate nearly $27 billion in tax revenue nationwide over the next decade, with Virginia (~$4.2 billion), Arizona (~$2.6 billion), and Delaware (~$2 billion) receiving large shares.
