Consensus Grows on Gaza Genocide, But Many Holocaust Scholars Remain Silent
Briefly

The situation in Gaza has reached a critical stage, with continuous military attacks leading to over 58,000 Palestinian deaths, predominantly women and children. The UN reports extensive damage, with around 92% of residential buildings compromised, suggesting a further humanitarian crisis. In response, the Hague Group, a coalition of Global South countries, convened to implement measures aimed at halting Israel’s military actions and addressing the ongoing conflict. Proposed actions include banning arms sales to Israel and reassessing business ties associated with the occupation.
Israel is trying to concentrate the population of Gaza in the southernmost parts of the strip, to enclose them and to enforce, eventually, either that they would just die out there or that they would be removed from the Gaza Strip altogether.
The U.N. estimates approximately 92% of all residential buildings in Gaza, around 436,000 homes, have been damaged or destroyed.
