There was no imminent threat to the United States, which is what would authorize that. We haven't been briefed, they should have called us all back, and frankly we should have debated this war-powers resolution.
I'm here to represent the base of the MAGA party that got Trump elected. Most of us were tired of the wars in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and we were promised that we wouldn't be engaging in another one.
