If you're new to collecting LPs, there are a few rules. Never stack, always sleeve, and never ever touch the grooves by hand. Traditionally, a 12 by 12 inch square (except, of course, for your 7-inch singles), records aren't the easiest to store. Bookshelves are often too short or narrow, and keeping them on the ground often leads to unintentional scratches, warping, and dust build-up.
Arguably one of the best inventions ever made is the foldable dining table. Whether you're hosting a small dinner party or a cozy evening for two, this pick extends so that you can fit up to five people. When not in use, it folds to an island that you can float around and place against a wall. It comes with cabinets for storage, and its own chairs with designated storage spots, too.
Though once it was up and running, I instantly took to the design. The ease of switching between sitting and standing let me do it regularly throughout the workday, which I found gave me a little extra pop of energy. With respect to the desk's movement, Branch takes pride in its low decibel motors and I did find the desk to be relatively quiet when adjusting from sitting to standing; it had the hum of a low-powered fan.
My entry is barely an entry. It's basically a tiny hallway that happens to have a front door and a door to my bedroom. I've spent years trying to make it look special and not feel like the awkward, in-between space it really is. When you live in a small apartment, you can't take a single square inch for granted. So I've always been determined to make this area work a little harder for me.
These sheet storage boxes are made of a linen type cloth and come in three colors - gray (which I chose), beige, and off-white - and you can get them in a four-, six-, eight-, or 12-pack. They can fit your entire bedding set (flat and fitted sheets, plus pillowcases) or you could use it as blanket storage. To use them, you lay your linens in the center and then fold the flaps closed around them.
This floor is about 900 sq ft and includes 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom, and the kitchen, meaning this room is our only communal space on this main floor. The previous owners built benches into the front windows, so we are stuck with that as our dining space for now (and fine with it.) But we've been in the house for a few months, and we can't decide what to do with the rest of the space.
For those lucky enough to have the pleasure to work from home, it's helpful to have a designated work space. If your current home office setting is your couch or a wobbly table, you may want to invest in a new desk. This Ebern Designs Home Office Desk is a fantastic option, and it's currently on sale at Wayfair for 52% off! This desk normally retails for $130, but you can now score it for just $63. Considering that it comes with tons of storage and a built-in charging station, this is a deal that you don't want to miss out on.
What makes the Same Same twin chairs by A204 particularly compelling is how they challenge this limitation entirely. These minimalist wooden chairs function beautifully as standalone seating with built-in storage, but their real potential emerges when paired together, unlocking playful possibilities for interaction, configuration, and use that transform them from simple furniture into a creative toolkit. Designer: A204 The design language speaks to Scandinavian minimalism with its pale plywood construction and clean, geometric lines.
While it sounds fun in theory, overhauling my decor for the festive seasons isn't all that easy. First, there's the storage issue. Where will all the strands of spooky ghost garland and bulky pumpkin paraphernalia go once fall has come and gone? Your guess is as good as mine. Then, there's the cost. Sure, there are deals to be had, but all those purchases can add up fast. Which brings me to the seasonal decorating "hack" you might be overlooking: throw pillow covers.
Marleen attached a white IKEA BEKRÄFTA curtain rod to the top of the bookcase so she can drag her linen curtain over the top to conceal clutter, if necessary. (After all, those adorably styled shelves are bound to fill up over time!)
For the especially glamorous-like RuPaul in his Martyn Lawrence Bullard-designed home -a walk-in closet can't possibly be complete without a dressing mirror. Whether you're prepping for a gala or just fine-tuning the details of your office outfits, a trifold mirror is a handy addition. Bring in a vintage vibe As she approached her home reno with Reath Design, the walk-in closet was a top priority for homeowner Brynn Jones Saban, given her work as a vintage clothing dealer.
