"Programmatic advertising requires serious real-time computing power. And that bandwidth consumption is only growing as AI takes on a bigger role in deal curation and, eventually, full campaign activation. Which is why AWS debuted a cloud infrastructure service specifically for ad tech on Thursday. The new service, called RTB Fabric, offers ad tech platforms more streamlined integrations with ecosystem and infrastructure partners, allegedly lower latency compared to the public internet, and discounted costs to transfer data from AWS."
"The service aims to make it "easier to operate real-time bidding in the cloud," Stephanie Layser, global head of publisher ad tech solutions at AWS, told AdExchanger. Which means, she said, enabling data integrations in just a few clicks and ensuring "single-digit-millisecond latency" for data transfer between platforms. Plus, RTB Fabric offers an 80% discount on AWS's standard networking costs for transferring data out of the cloud."
Programmatic advertising requires substantial real-time computing power, and bandwidth consumption is growing as AI expands roles in deal curation and campaign activation. AWS introduced RTB Fabric, a cloud infrastructure service for ad tech that provides streamlined integrations with partners, lower latency than the public internet, and discounted data egress pricing. RTB Fabric enables data integrations in a few clicks and ensures single-digit-millisecond latency for platform data transfers. The service offers an 80% discount on standard AWS networking costs for data transferred out of the cloud. An SSP has used RTB Fabric to connect with multiple partners, including Amazon DSP. The service optimizes data connections for time and supports migration from on-premises or public internet architectures.
