An 11-year-old girl is in stable condition after being hit in the head by a stray bullet Monday in Antioch, police said. ANTIOCH - A man suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol collided with an Antioch police car early Friday, sending a sergeant to the hospital, police said. The driver also was hospitalized in the crash that happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of A Street and W. 10th Street. Both the police sergeant and the suspect have been released and are expected to recover.

ANTIOCH - Authorities on Wednesday announced an arrest in an injury shooting earlier this month in Antioch. Silvio Roberto Belini Jr., 47, of Brentwood, was taken into custody at an undisclosed address in Brentwood, according to Antioch police Lt. Bill Whitaker. Detectives also served a search warrant and collected evidence related to the shooting. Whitaker did not release any additional information about the case, which he said remains under investigation.

ANTIOCH Police on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend in Antioch. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Vallejo resident Jesus Soto, was taken into custody in Stockton, Antioch police Lt. William Whitaker said in a news release. The arrest came a day after authorities served a search warrant at a home in Vallejo. Evidence related to the fatal shooting was collected from the home and a vehicle, Whitaker said.
