A violent robbery in Coney Island left two victims injured, with police seeking information from the public.
A 19-year-old Lamar Simmons was gunned down just after 2 p.m. on the corner of East 183rd Street and Hughes Avenue in Belmont. The intersection is steps from the day care and around the corner from Bronx Little Italy along Arthur and Crescent avenues. Simmons was shot in his chest, and first responders took him to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.
