21 hours agoHerbed Spanish Omelet Recipe
A herbed Spanish omelet pairs potatoes, garlic, eggs, and fresh herbs for a simple, customizable four-serving breakfast ready in about 25 minutes.
It may sound weird, and it's definitely unconventional, but Ree Drummond's method for boiling an omelet in a bag is actually genius. You need to try this if you're among those of us who try to flip an omelet and quickly change the meal plan to scrambled eggs every time. On her Food Network show, " The Pioneer Woman," Drummond demonstrated how she makes an omelet by adding all the ingredients for the previously complicated egg dish to a boil-safe bag and cooking a tasty dish in minutes. After enjoying this dish, there are no messy pans to scrub because you can simply toss the bag in the trash.
His method, which he shared on TikTok, is simple: Just whisk an egg with a spoonful of mayonnaise in a measuring jug till they blend into a creamy mixture, and then stick the same jug in a microwave. It's that simple! The omelet should be ready after a minute in the microwave, though in some cases it can also be done in a matter of 30 seconds, depending on the power of your appliance.
Have you ever noticed that you may eat two or three eggs for breakfast, but when somebody pulls out deviled eggs on a special occasion, you can eat all of them? There's something about eggs that lends itself to eating a lot if they're prepared the right way. Maybe that was the thinking behind Rise and Dine's legendary breakfast, the Wolverine Challenge, which tasks you with consuming a 14-egg omelet - and that's just to start.
