"Worst thing I participated in as kitchen staff in a rather top-flight restaurant was on a slow summer Sunday afternoon. The boss sent us down to the walk-in meat coolers to spray paint the rusted walls. Today's recycling infrastructure is closely aligned with the waste management system, revealing the need for significant changes to enhance product reuse and recycling processes.
"Prior to CITIBINS, these bags would just pile up on a corner waiting for DSNY," said COO Frank Picarazzi to News12 Brooklyn earlier this week. "Now, they are going into these rodent-proof containers. It really adds to the aesthetic of the district."
