We would like to speak to the man pictured, who is not suspected of any criminal involvement, to assist our investigation into the woman's death. Having spoken to the woman near to the location she died in the weeks before, they may have valuable insight or information as to the wider circumstances that led up to their death. We urge them to get in touch to help us bring this investigation to a close and to help bring the woman's family some much needed closure.
Peel police are seeking the public's help to identify a man in a suspected hate-motivated assault in Mississauga. A woman was attacked by an unknown man while walking along Mississauga Valley Boulevard on Dec. 3 around 3:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police said in a news release. The man, without provocation, allegedly yelled at the woman, forcibly removed her hijab and jacket hood, and pushed her to the ground before fleeing into a nearby wooded area, said police.
Police are urgently appealing for help to find a 12-year-old boy from east London who has gone missing on a freezing cold night. Yafee was last seen by a family member just after 5pm in Khartoum Road, Newham, which is off Barking Road just south of Plaistow Park. His family have been searching the local area and speaking to his friends but he has not been found. The boy was reported missing to police at 8.38pm.
We are grateful for the help we have already received from the local community and while we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter, I would encourage those who have not yet spoken to police to come forward as soon as possible.
A trans person was hit over the head with a glass bottle on a London Underground train. British Transport Police launched an appeal for the victim to come forward. A fellow commuter reported they were on the Victoria line Tube service when the suspect got on at King's Cross and made a homophobic remark. He began harassing the person and as the train arrived at Euston, hit them on the head with a glass bottle before leaving the train at around 3am on October 25.
A four-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a firework. Lancashire Police are now appealing for a man to come forward in connection with the incident, warning this year has gone too far. The force said officers attended a number of incidents involving the anti-social use of fireworks in Burnley on Wednesday. During these incidents on Guy Fawkes Night in the Elm Street area, a four-year-old child was severely injured. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
One worker told the Standard: I heard a scream coming from outside when I was behind the counter. By the time I went into the road, there was an old man on the floor. We later saw the CCTV footage and realised what had happened. A guy was standing next to him. When the old man took the money from the ATM, he just grabbed it and the old man fell. Because of his age, he couldn't stand properly.
Ms Hewer, 52, a devout Christian, was sexually assaulted and stabbed six times at her flat in Parkstone Road, Walthamstow, on October 17, 1995. There was no sign of a break-in to the sixth-floor property, suggesting she knew her attacker. Firefighters broke into the premises and found her body in a bedroom after two blazes were deliberately started in that room and another in the lounge.
Borough Commander Trevor Lawry, who leads policing in the borough of Lewisham said: Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of this young man who have lost someone they love in such a tragic way. I know the community will have concerns following this incident, a dedicated homicide team is currently working to piece together this morning's events. If you have any information for police, please do come forward.
