Prosecutors are charging four children between 11 and 12 years old with murder and conspiracy to commit felony assault in the Jan. 19 attack that eventually killed a 51-year-old man on Manton Avenue in Providence. According to a statement from the Providence Police Department, two of the children were arraigned in Family Court on Tuesday. Prosecutors will arraign the two other youths later this week.

Mr. Dickinson criticizes the East Bay Times for never publishing anything positive about the current president. I have no doubt the East Bay Times will publish such a story if and when such a situation occurs. The Times did report on the president's efforts in getting to a ceasefire and hostage release regarding the war in Israel and Gaza. Other than that, I honestly can't point to anything positive the president has done, especially given all his campaign promises of lowering prices and only deporting the "worst of the worst."

His administration has been nothing but cruel and heartless decisions affecting millions of hard-working people who need economic help, health care, food, education and protection from ICE.

Much like a fatal stabbing involving teenagers at San Jose's other large mall, Santana Row, back in February, the alleged shooter in this case did not actually know the men he allegedly intended to shoot, but he perceived them to be members of a rival street gang, just because of the colors they were wearing. (The 15-year-old boy killed in February, who was not a gang member, was allegedly targeted because he was wearing a red jacket on Valentine's Day.)

Seven juveniles, all 13 to 15 years old, were arrested following a police chase involving stolen cars in Norwood on Saturday. Around 1:50 a.m., two vehicles outran an officer trying to stop the vehicles on Route 1 north after they both made an illegal U-turn out of a Mobil gas station near Dean Street, according to Norwood police. The officer was able to catch up with the vehicles and the run the license plate numbers.

LIVERMORE Two boys a 14-year-old suspected driver and a 15-year-old passenger were arrested Tuesday after leading police on a chase in a stolen car that ended up crashing into an apartment building. Police said it was the second time in less than a week that the 14-year-old had fled police in a stolen vehicle. Authorities did not release information about that pursuit.

OAKLAND Three San Francisco boys, ages 15 and 16, were arrested in the Tuesday morning carjacking of a woman and an attempted carjacking where the car owner was knocked to the ground and punched and kicked, authorities said. Additional suspects were being sought in the West Oakland incidents. About 4:31 a.m. Tuesday a 31-year-old woman had her SUV stolen by several suspects including one who may have had a firearm in the 1100 block of 30th Street, authorities said.

"You have a 17-year-old kid who tried to kill people with a gun and is still walking around with guns," said a Manhattan police officer. "What do you think he's going to do with a gun? He's going to kill somebody."

LIVERMORE Police here raided the home of a middle school student late last month, seizing a Glock pistol, ammunition, and a BB gun, after a report that the boy had robbed a fellow student at a local coffee shop, court records show. The boy, identified by authorities only as a student at Christensen Middle School, was suspected of robbing a fellow student at a Starbucks of a popular $80 backpack tag.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of setting off fireworks that sparked a wildfire in southern California, forcing evacuations of about 100 canyon homes.

Police stated that during an altercation involving five juveniles, a 14-year-old shot a 17-year-old multiple times, also injuring himself in the process.

The firearm did not discharge, and the four ran off. Someone called 911 and reported that a suspect was brandishing a firearm inside the store.
